Lake Lillian Gains State Funding for Infrastructure Projects

The Minnesota Public Facilities Authority has approved the city of Lake Lillian for nearly $4 million in state financing to improve its water and wastewater infrastructure.

Specifically, the funding will be used for the replacement of water mains, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and rehabilitation of the water tower and streets.

The PFA is providing the financing as a State Special Appropriation, designated for a local unit of government project that is legislatively named in law, enacted into law by the Governor and managed through state agencies as a pass-through grant.

In a press release, State Representative Dean Urdahl of Grove City stated, “I have been a strong supporter of PFA programs over the years because they help people in cities such as Lake Lillian complete essential infrastructure projects with favorable terms for local taxpayers. This funding will be a big help to the people of Lake Lillian.”
