Lauren Alaina Cancels Shows After Loss Of Her Father

Lauren Alaina is mourning the death of her father, J.J. Suddeth.  His cause of death is currently unknown.

She posted to social media on July 24th sharing the sad news with her fans, letting them know she’s canceling three upcoming performances to be with family.

“We lost my daddy last night, and I really don’t have words yet,” Lauren Alaina explained, before announcing she won’t open for Jason Aldean on July 25th or 26th and will not perform her own set at Carowinds Summer Music Festival as previously scheduled.

“I want to let y’all know that I’m not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte as I am going home to be with my family,” she added.  “Thank you for your prayers and understanding.”

Lauren signed the post as “Pinky”, a nickname her father called her.
