Laurie, J. Behnke, age 64, of Belle Plaine passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Ted Vanderpan will officiate. The visitation will be on Monday from 4-7pm at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the Schlegel Cemetery, followed by the lunch at church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Laurie was born on April 9, 1960, to Dick and Jean (Cunningham) Peterson in Mankato, MN. She married Joey Behnke on August 12, 2000 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, MN. She worked in reception and dispatch for New Morning Windows in Lakeville and later at Herc-U-Lift Inc. in Maple Plain, MN.

She was involved with Friends of the Library and the Ladies Auxiliary at the Belle Plaine Vet’s Club she enjoyed socializing with friends. She will be missed by her family and friends

Laurie is survived by her husband, Joey Behnke; children, Anthony Rivera and Seth Peterson; granddaughter, Cadence; her parents, Dick and Jean Peterson; brother, Todd Peterson; brothers and sisters in law; cousins; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
