Lawmakers Press Walz Over Home-Nursing Coverage Gap

A bipartisan group of Minnesota lawmakers is pressing Governor Tim Walz to protect medically necessary home-nursing coverage for approximately 250 families.

Medica and HealthPartners placed new limits on benefits previously provided under a 2010 state law. Forty-five lawmakers say the administration should enforce that law while the Commerce Department reviews future insurance plans.

Walz’s office says the governor shares the families’ concerns and has directed Commerce officials to explore administrative solutions.
