Litchfield Man Arrested/Charged with Check Forgery

A Litchfield man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after authorities say he attempted to cash a bad check in Hutchinson.

Hutchinson Police say they responded to Novation Credit Union on Hassan Street for a report of a man attempting to cash a $3,875 check suspected to be fraudulent.

Police say 33-year-old Jacob Allen Soppa was taken into custody and transported to the

McLeod County Jail and has been charged with Felony – Check Forgery-Offer/Possess W/Intent to Defraud.
