Litchfield Man Severely Injured at Egg Production Plant

A Litchfield man was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after a work-related injury at an egg production facility in Meeker County Wednesday morning.

The Sheriff’s Offices says 62-year-old Michael Redepenning had been accidentally caught in a machine, resulting in a severed lower leg.

Redepenning was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale for treatment.

The incident was reported just after 10:30am.
