Litchfield to Cokato Hwy 12 Project to Begin

The first phase of a two-year project on Highway 12 between Litchfield and Cokato is scheduled to begin Monday(July 8).

MnDOT Officials say the work consists of road resurfacing, upgraded sidewalks and an improved drainage system to the highway.

The first detour of the project also begins Monday when Highway 12 will close from Litchfield to Dassel for about two weeks.

During that time, there will be culvert replacement east of Litchfield, and concrete repair of the Highway 12 and Highway 15 intersection.

A detour will reroute drivers to Meeker County Roads 34, 11 and 4.
