Lonnie Annette London was born on March 8, 1964, in San Gabriel, California, to James and Elonda (Saxton) London. She lived in California with her family until the age of five, when they relocated to Trenton, Tennessee. There, she attended school and graduated from Peabody High School in 1983. Lonnie pursued further education at the University of Tennessee for a semester before moving back to California, where she worked as a dental assistant. During her time in California, she met John Reedy, the love of her life, and they married on April 5, 1986, in California.

In 1991, Lonnie and John moved to Portland, Oregon, where they would spend the next 23 years of their lives. She embraced her role as a daycare provider for 10 years. Her nurturing spirit shone as she cared for children with the same love and dedication she gave to her own. Lonnie’s commitment to education was unwavering, so much so that she chose to homeschool her children.

Family was at the core of Lonnie’s life. She had an incredible ability to see the good in everyone and was known for her kindness and generosity. Lonnie had a deep love for shopping, often finding joy in discovering thoughtful gifts for those she cared about. She was an avid follower of the Royal Family and took great pleasure in arts and crafts, expressing her creativity in various ways. Flowers were another of her passions. Music held a special place in her heart, especially classical music, which she adored. Lonnie was also a talented trombone player.

Holidays were particularly meaningful to Lonnie, as they provided opportunities to gather her loved ones close. She cherished these moments with her husband, children, and grandchildren, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Throughout her life, Lonnie was John’s biggest supporter, standing by him through every challenge and triumph.

In 2014, the family relocated to Graceville, Minnesota, to help care for Lonnie’s mother-in-law. While she missed the shopping malls, bustling events, and cultural attractions that had been a part of her life in larger cities, Lonnie soon discovered the unique beauty and charm that Graceville had to offer. She appreciated the slower pace of her new small-town life.

Lonnie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years: John Reedy of Graceville, MN; six children: Summar (Jose) Gomez of Salem, Oregon, Charles Reedy of Graceville, MN, Tyler (Karen) Reedy of Graceville, MN, Preston Reedy of Graceville, MN, Jamison (Victoria) Reedy of St. Cloud, MN, Alexandria Reedy of Graceville, MN; five grandchildren; Tyler John Reedy, Ryder Hernandez Reedy, John Thomas Gomez, Jerikko Gomez, and Kendrick Gomez; mother-in-law: Nancy Reedy of Graceville, MN; three sisters-in-law: Patty (Robert) Mack of Tucson, Arizona; Phyllis Reedy of Tacoma, Washington; Kathy Reedy of Tucson, AZ; one brother-in-law: Dennis Reedy of Graceville, MN; and dog: Jersey.
