Loons blow late lead

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota United gave up a pair of late goals during a 3-2 loss to the D-C United at Allianz Field. Teemu Pukki scored in the 80th minute to break a 1-1 tie, but D-C scored two goals within a minute just ten minutes later. Tani Oluwaseyi also scored in the losing effort. The Loons remain in ninth place in the M-L-S Western Conference with eight wins, six draws, and ten losses for 30 points. Minnesota is on a nine-match winless streak and will host San Jose on Saturday.
