Loons snap winless streak
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota United won their first match since June 1st with a 2-nil victory over San Jose at Allianz Field on Saturday night. The Loons benefited from an own goal in the 38th minute, and Bongokuhle Hlongwane added a goal in the 75th minute. The United are in ninth place in the M-L-S Western Conference with nine wins, six draws, and ten losses for 33 points. Minnesota takes on Seattle in the Leagues Cup on Friday.
