Lynx beat Phoenix behind McBride and Miles

The Minnesota Lynx stayed hot Monday night, holding off the Phoenix Mercury, 104-to-100, at Target Center. Kayla McBride poured in a season-high 37 points, including her sixth three-pointer with under a minute to play to give Minnesota the lead for good. Rookie Olivia Miles added a career-high 33 points and eight assists, including a late setup to Natasha Howard that helped seal it. The win was Minnesota’s third straight and moved the Lynx to 18-and-6, still on top of the Western Conference. Phoenix got a big game from Alyssa Thomas, but the Lynx closed stronger in a shootout.
