Lynx Dominate Wings Behind Collier’s 25, Hiedeman’s First Career Double-Double

MINNEAPOLIS, MN— Napheesa Collier led the way with 25 points, and Natisha Hiedeman recorded her first career double-double as the Minnesota Lynx cruised past the Dallas Wings, 96-71, on Monday night.

Hiedeman finished with 20 points and a career-high 10 assists, helping the top-seeded Lynx (32-8) maintain their dominance as they prepare for the playoffs. Courtney Williams also made a significant impact with 15 points and nine assists, while Bridget Carleton added 12 points off the bench.

Minnesota, which has already clinched the No. 1 overall seed for the postseason, was efficient and explosive on offense. The Lynx shot 55% from the field (36-of-65) and a scorching 58% from beyond the arc (14-of-24). Collier went a perfect 4-for-4 from deep, while Hiedeman knocked down 4-of-5 and Carleton contributed 4-of-8 from long range.

On the other end, Dallas (9-33) struggled to keep up. Paige Bueckers led the Wings with 17 points, while Maddy Siegrist, Amy Okonkwo, and Diamond Miller each chipped in 12. The Wings managed just 39% shooting overall and were ice-cold from three, hitting only 3-of-15 attempts.

The Lynx played without Kayla McBride, who was given the night off, and saw DiJonai Carrington leave the game after the first half due to a shoulder issue.

Collier set the tone early with 11 first-quarter points, helping the Lynx edge ahead 25-21 after the opening frame. Dallas managed to tie the game at 32 midway through the second quarter, but a quick barrage of threes from Williams, Carleton, and Hiedeman rebuilt Minnesota’s momentum. Collier’s triple late in the quarter pushed the lead to 10, and the Lynx entered halftime up 48-41.

Hiedeman took control in the third, scoring 10 points and drilling a three-pointer that stretched the Lynx lead to 71-59 heading into the final period. Minnesota closed strong, outscoring the Wings 25-12 in the fourth to seal the blowout victory.

Next up, the Lynx begin a three-game road trip starting Thursday in Las Vegas, while the Wings travel to face Golden State.
