Lynx fall by 1

The Minnesota Lynx came up just short last night, falling to the Connecticut Sun, 90-89, at Target Center. Brittney Griner led Connecticut with 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting and added 10 rebounds. The Lynx were right there late, tying the game at 84 with under a minute to go, but could not finish the comeback. Courtney Williams led Minnesota with 23 points and 9 rebounds, while Natasha Howard added 18 points, 6 boards, and 4 assists. The loss drops Minnesota to 15-and-6, and it was the Lynx’s second straight defeat after a road loss to New York. Minnesota is back in action Wednesday night at Connecticut.
