Lynx lose to defending champs
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Lynx were no match for the reigning W-N-B-A champions, losing to the Las Vegas Aces 80-66 at the Target Center last night. The Lynx never led by more than one and trailed by as many as 17 in the losing effort. Napheesa Collier had an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double to lead Minnesota. Las Vegas was led by A’ja Wilson, who scored 29 points and grabbed 15 boards. The Aces improved to 4-1. The 4-2 Lynx host Phoenix tomorrow night. In other news, second-year guard Diamond Miller underwent knee surgery this week and will be injury rehab. The team says there is no definitive time line for her return.
