Lynx rookie sensation Olivia Miles poured in 31 points
(Los Angeles, CA) — Minnesota Lynx rookie sensation Olivia Miles poured in a career-high 31 points and pushed her team to a 99-83 win over the Sparks in Los Angeles last night. Miles scored 24 of her points in the first half and finished the game 12-for-15 from the field. Minnesota center Natasha Howard scored 15 points, while guard Kayla McBride chipped in with 14 points. McBride was 2-of-6 from three-point range and moved into the top five all-time in W-N-B-A history with 749 made shots from long distance. The Lynx built a 22-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Minnesota Lynx improved to 12-3 on the season, while L-A dropped to 7-8. The Lynx visit Golden State tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m.
