Lynx stay hot

The Minnesota Lynx stayed hot Wednesday night, taking down the Golden State Valkyries, 77-to-66, in a matchup of the WNBA’s top two teams.

Minnesota jumped out early, building a 15-point halftime lead before holding off a Golden State rally down the stretch.

Rookie Olivia Miles led the way with 20 points, seven assists and five rebounds, but left in the fourth quarter after turning her left ankle. Kayla McBride also scored 20, while Napheesa Collier added 18 points and eight boards.

The victory gives Minnesota its fifth straight win. The Lynx are back in action Friday night at Washington.
