Lynx Struggle Without Williams in 80-66 Loss

The Minnesota Lynx committed 18 turnovers and struggled offensively in an 80-to-66 loss to the Golden State Valkyries Monday night at Target Center.

Starting guard Courtney Williams was scratched shortly before tipoff because of a right ankle injury. Minnesota shot just 35-point-6 percent from the field and was outscored 14-to-1 during a decisive fourth-quarter run.

Natasha Howard led the Lynx with 13 points, while Kayla McBride added 12. Napheesa Collier was held to nine points.

The loss snapped Minnesota’s three-game winning streak and dropped the Lynx to 31-and-8. They play at Atlanta Sunday.
