Lynx take two guards in Draft

(Minneapolis, MN/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Lynx are bringing in a blue-chip prospect with the number two overall pick in the W-N-B-A Draft. The team drafted T-C-U point guard Olivia Miles in that premium spot last night. Miles averaged 19.6 points, six-point-six assists and seven-point-two rebounds in 38 games with the Horned Frogs last season. Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve called Miles a “generational talent” who will give them a top five-point guard in the league immediately. Minnesota also drafted Utah guard Lani White in the third round. The Lynx open training camp next week and will have their first preseason game of the year on April 25th at Washington. The regular begins on May 10th against Atlanta.
