Man Injured After Train Hits Stalled Vehicle in Randall

A Cushing man was airlifted to a St. Cloud hospital after an Amtrak train struck his stalled vehicle in Randall.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported around 2:30 Saturday morning at the East Sixth Street railroad crossing.

Authorities say 62-year-old James Pogreba’s vehicle became disabled on the tracks. Pogreba got out before the train struck the vehicle, but he was injured by flying debris.

Pogreba was airlifted by Life Link Three to CentraCare–St. Cloud Hospital. His condition and the extent of his injuries were not released.

Randall Fire and Rescue and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
