Man Injured in Stearns County Chainsaw Accident

A Rockford man was injured when he was cut by the chainsaw he was operating while working at a site in Stearns County Monday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Eric Carlson had been cutting trees in the ditch southeast of Cold Spring when the chainsaw kicked back and cut his right leg.

When first responders arrived, a tourniquet was applied to his leg and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
