Mary Elizabeth “Mary Beth” Paulson was born on December 5, 1959, in Morris, Minnesota, to Earl and Mary Margaret (Leuthard) Kampmeier. After her mother’s passing, she was raised by her Dad and Mary Virginia Kampmeier. Mary Beth was the eldest of ten siblings, a role she cherished and held dear throughout her life. Mary Beth’s early years were spent in the close-knit community of Chokio, Minnesota, where she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A proud graduate of Chokio High School in 1978, Mary Beth’s caring nature and desire to help others led her to a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She dedicated her professional life to serving others at the Villa of St. Francis in Morris, the Courage Cottage in Morris, Pheasant Ridge in St. Peter, and finally at the Glenwood Retirement Village in Glenwood, where her kindness left a lasting impact on both colleagues and those in her care.

On January 30, 1982, Mary Beth’s heart found its match when she married Douglas Dean Paulson in a ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chokio. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared passions. They lived in Morris, St. Peter, and eventually settled in rural Glenwood, where they created countless cherished memories.

Mary Beth’s interests and passions were a reflection of her loving and generous spirit. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Walleye fishing with Doug was one of her treasured pastimes, providing moments of tranquility and companionship. The recent addition to the family, her puppy Toby, brought her immense joy and comfort. She had a kind heart and a compassionate soul, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her unwavering dedication to caring for her daughters, grandchildren and the elderly was the hallmark of her character.
