Mary Catherine Frazier

Mary Catherine Frazier, age 85, passed away at Ridgeview Clinic in Le Sueur, MN, on August 18, 2024. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Council of Catholic Women Rosary will begin at 4:45 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before the Mass, followed by procession to St. Anne’s Church. Burial will be in St. Anne’s Cemetery in Le Sueur. Luncheon to follow the mass at St.Anne’s School.

Mary was born on June 15, 1939, in Minneapolis, MN, to Melville and Margaret (Burke) Clark. She married David Frazier in Minneapolis on August 27, 1961. The couple then moved to many different locations, including Grove City, Minnesota; Oregon, Wisconsin; and College Station, Texas. Mary and Dave settled in Le Sueur with their young family in 1967. Mary attended the University of Minnesota where she received her associate degree in 1959. Refusing to be the only one in the family without a bachelor’s degree, Mary attended Metro State University, where she received her degree in 1990. She worked various jobs throughout her life. Mary enjoyed working at Dayton’s as a young woman when Southdale Mall first opened. In Le Sueur, she worked at Fox Hollow, the Coachlight Motel and the Supperclub, ADC, Green Giant, and Curves to name a few places.

She enjoyed watching many plays and traveling. Mary and David’s travels took them to Alaska, Norway, Iceland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Spain, and Panama. She even went on an adventure with her daughters, Meg and Beth. to England, Ireland, and Scotland. Mary also had a love of socializing, playing cards and bingo, and she loved adventuring with friends and family.

Mary is survived by her husband, David; children, Meg (Steve Katlack) Frazier of Peoria, Illinois, Dave (Tami Berg) of Lakeville, Minnesota, and Beth (Taber) Akin of Lakeville, Minnesota; grandchildren, Mikalynn Waddell & Duncan Katlack and Luke & Will Frazier.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, John.
