Mavis Adeline Soeffker

Mavis Adeline Soeffker, age 90 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, in Arlington. Memorial service will be private at a later date.

Mavis received an offer she could not refuse for an appointment from which she would not be returning. The offer comes with a huge signing bonus, a reunion with her husband Ron, son Jon, grandson Matthew, and great grandson Everett. Her new mission takes her to heaven where she will be socializing, singing, taking long walks, reading, sewing till her heart’s content. Mission laughter and love are granted.

Mavis was the fourth child born to John and Elsie (Panning) Harjes in Hancock Township, on October 6, 1933. She was baptized on October 22, 1933, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg. She was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Green Isle on March 30, 1947. She married Ronald Soeffker at St. Paul’s in Green Isle on March 3, 1956, and was a homemaker until her children were grown. She worked at Minneapolis Honeywell for 5 years, then Fingerhut, Technical Services, Hardware Hank and Duebers.

Mavis is survived by her brother Richard, sister-in-law Ruth, sons, James (Amy) and Paul, daughter, Rhonda (Mark) Stien all of Arlington. grandchildren, Andrew (Mette), Jay (Crystal), and step grandchildren Maggie and Erin. great grandchildren, Alayna, Lauren, Hanne, Liam, Sofia, and Finnley.
