McCarthy Rests Injured Ankle as Vikings Wrap Training Camp

The Minnesota Vikings have completed their final training-camp practice.

Starting quarterback Kyler Murray threw several touchdown passes during Wednesday’s controlled scrimmage. J.J. McCarthy watched from the sideline while resting the ankle injury he suffered in Saturday’s preseason loss to Baltimore.

Head coach Kevin O’Connell says the Vikings still hope McCarthy can start Friday night’s preseason finale at Denver.

Carson Wentz struggled during the final practice, while receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison provided several offensive highlights.

Kickoff against the Broncos is scheduled for 8 P-M Friday. The Vikings must reduce their roster to 53 players by 5 P-M Sunday.
