McLeod County Deputy Accused of Assault/Threats at Grove City Bar
(KWLM/Grove City MN-) A McLeod County Deputy has been charged with felony counts of 2nd Degree Assault and Threats for allegedly holding a knife to the throat of a man at a bar in Grove City.
The criminal complaint says 46-year-old David William Olson of Grove City got into a fight with a man at the bar, then took out his pocketknife and held it against the man’s throat, and threatened to slit the throats of everyone in the bar.
The alleged incident occurred April 4th after the bar owner told Olson to leave because he was acting aggressively.
She said she knew Olson was in law enforcement and hesitated to report it, but finally contacted Meeker County authorities about a month later.
The incident was captured on video.
Olson has been summoned to appear in Meeker County District Court July 21st.
