MEEKER COUNTY BARN FIRE

A turkey barn in Meeker County was destroyed by fire Sunday morning.  The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office was called at 9:15 am to a turkey barn fire in the 33000 block of 560th Avenue of Swede Grove Township.  Crews found one barn completely engulfed in flames that had collapsed from the damage.  No injuries were reported and no turkeys were in he barn at the time of the fire.  The cause is not known but it is believed to be an equipment malfunction.
