Meeker County High-Speed Pursuit/Arrest
A 20-year-old rural Hillman man was arrested after a high-speed pursuit in Meeker County that reached speeds of 100 miles an hour and covering over 30 miles.
The Sheriff’s Office says at just after 2pm Monday, they were notified of a pursuit on northbound Highway 22 just south of Litchfield that was initiated by the State Patrol.
The chase was terminated, but the suspect was then seen by Litchfield Police and the chase began again, but was terminated a short time later.
The suspect vehicle was then spotted by a Meeker County Deputy and the chase began again.
A PIT maneuver was attempted but the suspect was able to continue into Darwin.
The suspect then went south and eventually made his way to Highway 15 and north into Stearns County where a Trooper deployed a tire deflation device and a Meeker County Deputy did another PIT maneuver ending the pursuit.
The driver, Hunter Kane Wisch, was taken into custody without further incident.
Authorities say Wisch has a revoked driver’s license and pending charges in McLeod County for fleeing on foot, along with several gun and drug charges from an incident in Hutchinson in November of 2024.
