Meeker County House Fire

A two-story house in Meeker County was extensively damaged by fire Saturday night.

The Sheriff’s Office says at 9:20pm, they received a report of the fire in the 67000 Block of 330 Street in Forest City Township.

Upon arrival, deputies saw the house was almost fully engulfed.

The property is owned by 79-year-old Karen Marsh and was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

It was determined that a family member of the property owner was there earlier burning items in a pit that was close to the house, which is believed to have ignited the house.

No one was injured.
