MEEKER COUNTY MAN SUFFERS SEVERE BURNS IN BRUSH PILE FIRE

A man from Winsted is being treated at the HCMC Burn Center after a fire in a brush pile Thursday afternoon near Dassel.  The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says the 53-year-old victim was attempting to burn yard debris using an accelerant when the fire came back on him.  Deputies say he suffered severe burns over a significant portion of his body.  Investigators say the fire  appears to have been an accident.
