Meg Stuedemann – MN Woman Farmer of the Year Winner

Le Sueur County farmer Meg Stuedemann was named the 2026 Farmfest woman Farmer of the Year on the final day of Farmfest Thursday.  The award recognizes Minnesota women who demonstrates exceptional commitment to agriculture and positively impacts their communities.  Stuedemann was raised in Milwaukee and Nashville and never dreamed she would live on a farm.  She and her husband established Derrydale Farm on his family’s land in Le Sueur County and operate a 170-acre certified organic dairy farm with a 70-head herd.  Stuedemann has served as president of the Organic Farming Research Foundation and currently serves on the Organic Farming Stewardship Council.
