Michael Che to Record Netflix Special in Minneapolis

“Saturday Night Live” star Michael Che is coming to Minneapolis to record a new Netflix comedy special.

The longtime “Weekend Update” co-anchor will perform four shows at First Avenue on Friday, August 28th, and Saturday, August 29th. Performances are scheduled for 7 and 9:30 P-M each night.

The mostly seated shows are open to people 21 and older. Seating is general admission, and audience members are encouraged to arrive early because late entry may not be allowed after filming begins.

The production will become Che’s third Netflix stand-up special. His previous specials were released in 2016 and 2021. Netflix has not announced when the new program will be released.

First Avenue says tickets must be purchased through A-X-S and warns that tickets from third-party resellers will not be honored.
