Michael Kim Fires Historic 59 at 3M Open

Michael Kim made P-G-A Tour history Friday by shooting a tournament-record 59 during the second round of the 3-M Open.

Kim recorded 12 birdies without a bogey at T-P-C Twin Cities. He birdied his final four holes, finishing the round by sinking a 24-foot putt on the 18th green.

The 12-under round established a new course record and is the first sub-60 round on the P-G-A Tour this season. It is only the 16th round of 59 or lower in tour history.

Kim completed 36 holes at 14-under par, putting him in contention for his second P-G-A Tour victory. His previous win came at the 2018 John Deere Classic. PGA Tour
