Minnesota Air Guitar Championship coming to Fridley

Change the invisible strings on your axe, the U.S. Air Guitar Championships are coming to Minnesota.

The 2024 Minneapolis U.S. Air Guitar Championships will bring its big energy, headbanging, and lack of guitars to Fridley’s Route 47 Pub & Grub on June 26.

The long-running national competition functions a bit like karaoke, except instead of singing, competitors take to the stage to air guitar their way through familiar songs.

The competition takes place in two rounds, with air guitarists in the first round picking their own song. The top shredders head to the second round, where they must perform a song selected by the judges.
