Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Famer Paul Stagg Dies at 83

Stagg, whose real name was Paul Steigerwald, died Sunday at the Montevideo Veterans Home. He was a Vietnam-era veteran and a 2017 inductee into the Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

Stagg began his radio career at KWLM in Willmar at age 15. He later worked at WDAY in Fargo before moving to the Twin Cities, where his career included WWTC, WCCO Radio and Television, and KLBB.

He returned to KWLM in 2007 to host “Live at Five with Paul Stagg.” His final broadcast aired March 29th, 2019, ending a six-decade career at the same station where it began.
