Minnesota Football teams qualify for NCAA Football Playoffs
(Undated) — Minnesota State-Mankato and Bemidji State have earned bids into the 2024 N-C-A-A Division II Football playoffs. The 8-3 Mavericks will play the 8-3 Augustana Vikings in the opening round this Saturday at 1 P-M in Sioux Falls. The 8-3 Beavers will visit 9-2 Angelo State at 1 P-M on Saturday in San Angelo, Texas. Meanwhile, three Minnesota-based football programs have qualified for the Division III Football playoffs. Bethel will play an opening round game at Coe College (IA) on Saturday at noon. The Royals are 8-2, while the Kohawks are 9-1 and the game will take place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Northwestern-St. Paul will take a 7-3 record into a first-round meeting at 7-3 UW-Lacrosse on Saturday at noon. Saint John’s earned a first-round bye and will await the winner of the game between Northwestern and UW-Lacrosse. That second-round game will be played on November 30th at noon in Collegeville. Saint John’s is 10-0 on the year.
