Minnesota Hockey Talent in the Spotlight
Minnesota high school and college hockey will have a strong presence at this weekend’s NHL Draft in Buffalo. The Star Tribune reports more than a dozen Minnesota players are expected to be drafted, with Moorhead’s Wyatt Cullen and Hermantown’s Victor Plante among the top local names. Cullen, ranked 13th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting, is committed to the Gophers. Plante, ranked 42nd, is committed to Minnesota Duluth. It is another reminder that the state’s hockey pipeline remains one of the strongest in the country.
