Minnesota Joins $29.6 Million Drug-Pricing Settlement

Minnesota is joining a nearly 30-million-dollar national settlement with generic-drug manufacturer Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.

A coalition of 48 states and territories alleged the company participated in a long-running conspiracy to inflate and manipulate generic-drug prices, limit competition and restrain trade.

Attorney General Keith Ellison says Minnesota will receive more than 187-thousand dollars. Glenmark will also cooperate with three ongoing multistate lawsuits involving other generic-drug manufacturers.

Consumers who purchased certain generic prescriptions between May of 2009 and December of 2019 may qualify for compensation. Minnesota settlement information
