Minnesota Timberwolves 104-102 San Antonio Spurs
(San Antonio, TX/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Timberwolves utilized a balanced scoring attack to claim Game One of the N-B-A Western Conference Semifinals 104-102 in San Antonio. Forward Julius Randle topped all scorers with 21 points, while Anthony Edwards returned to action and poured in 18 points in 25 minutes off the bench. Randle added ten rebounds, while veteran guard Mike Conley had 12 points, hitting four field goals from three-point distance. Spurs star Victor Wembanyama had a triple-double with 11 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 blocked shots. San Antonio shot only 28-percent from three-point range. The Wolves trailed by three points heading into the fourth quarter, but outscored the Spurs 35-30 in the final frame. Edwards scored 11 points in the fourth quarter. San Antonio missed a three-point attempt at the buzzer that would have won the game.
