Minnesota Walk to School Day Set for October 7

More than 110 Minnesota schools are expected to participate in Walk to School Day October 7th.

The annual event encourages students and their families to walk, bike or roll to school while practicing safe travel habits.

Minnesota recently placed fourth nationally in a Safe Routes to School evaluation measuring state policies, funding and support for active transportation.

Schools, classrooms, families and neighborhood groups can organize local events.
