MN National Guard to Assist with Hurricane Milton Response
(Learfield News/St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota National Guard will provide emergency assistance to Florida before Hurricane Milton’s arrival on the Gulf Coast.
Florida requested help, and National Guard leaders and the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Homeland Security and Emergency Management are working to determine mission requirements.
Minnesota soldiers and helicopters were deployed to North Carolina last week to assist with the Hurricane Helene response and recovery efforts.
Hurricane Milton is expected to overwhelm the local emergency response teams in Florida.
