MN Twins Walk-off Win 3-2

The Minnesota Twins won the rubber match of their three-game series with the Houston Astros by claiming yesterday’s series finale 3-2 at Target Field. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the ninth when Twins catcher Christian Vazquez hit a walk-off home run to give Minnesota the series win. Vazquez drove in all three of Minnesota’s runs in the victory, while Jhoan Duran earned his fourth win of the season. The Twins have won five straight series and improved to 51-39 on the year. Josh Hader was charged with his fifth loss in relief. Houston has dropped three of five and dipped to 46-44. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says that his team came through at the exact right moment. The Twins open a three-game series tonight in Chicago against the White Sox. The first pitch is 7:10 P-M.  Carlos Correa is heading to Arlington. The Twins shortstop was selected to the American League roster for the 2024 M-L-B All-Star Game. Correa will be a reserve on the A-L team. The 29-year-old is hitting .305 with 11 home runs and 45 R-B-I in his tenth big league season. He is the lone Twin to make the roster. The All-Star Game will be played on July 16th.
