MNDOT ANNOUNCES FUNDS TO IMPROVE HIGHWAY 19, COUNTY ROAD 1 INTERSECION IN REDWOOD FALLS
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that it has officially awarded $5.2-million through the Minnesota highway freight program to overhaul the intersection of Highway 19 and County Road 1 in Redwood Falls. The intersection, located near Kwik Trip, has been identified as a critical point for safety and mobility improvements. The plan is to replace the current layout with a roundabout to increase safety, reduce travel delays and support the long-term economic vitality of Redwood Falls. MnDOT says construction is not expected to start until around 2030. The city of St. James is also receiving approximately $518,000 to make lane improvements on Highway 4 at 12 Avenue South.
