MNDOT TO HOST PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE MAY 5 IN KLOSSNER FOR FORT ROAD ROUNDABOUTS PROJECT
MnDOT is going to hold an open house Tuesday, May 5 at Lafayette Township Hall in Klossner to give you updates on the upcoming Fort Road roundabouts project. There won’t be a formal presentation and you can stop by at your convenience between 4 and 6 pm. Staff from MnDOT and the contractor will be available to answer questions about the project, construction timelines and detour routes. Two single-lane roundabouts will be constructed at two state highway intersections with Nicollet County Road 5 (the Fort Road) – Highway 15 and Fort Road in Klossner and Highway 111 Fort Road north of Nicollet. Preliminary tree clearing is expected to start in early May with minimal traffic impacts. Construction is expected to start in mid-May.
