MnDOT Warns Sturgis Riders About I-90 Construction

Motorcyclists heading to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally are being advised to plan for construction delays along Interstate 90 in southern Minnesota.

MnDOT says riders will encounter lane closures, reduced speeds and possible detours. Near Worthington, eastbound traffic is reduced to one lane between Diagonal Road and Highway 60, with intermittent westbound closures. Some ramps in that area may also close beginning in early August.

Ramp closures and detours are also in place at the Highway 218 south interchange in Austin.

Riders should allow extra travel time and check current conditions at 511-M-N-dot-org before leaving. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally runs August 7th through the 16th.
