Modrzewski Throws Six Touchdowns as South Dakota Rolls 59-20

South Dakota opened its football season with a 59-to-20 victory over Central Connecticut State Saturday at the DakotaDome.

Coyotes quarterback Austyn Modrzewski completed 16 of 20 passes for 304 yards and six touchdowns.

The 39-point victory gave head coach Matt Vitzthum a win in his debut leading the 12th-ranked Coyotes.

South Dakota improves to 1-and-0. The Coyotes visit Northern Colorado next Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 7 P-M. South Dakota Athletics
