MORE INFORMATION RELEASED ON CRASH SOUTH OF SEARLES

The state patrol has released the names of two people killed in a crash south of Searles Tuesday afternoon.  Authorities say they were called at 1:47 pm to Highway 15.  A Dodge Caravan was stopped for road construction.  A Nissan Altima was southbound on Highway 15 and collided with the caravan.  The driver of the caravan, 75-year-old Ladonna Mikkelson and her passenger 83-year-old Charles Mikkelson both of Madelia were killed.  The driver of the Nissan was an 18-year-old woman.  She had two 10-year-old passengers.  Their names and conditions have not been released yet.  The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, New Ulm Fire, Allina and Madelia EMS, Mayo 1 Air and MnDOT assisted at the scene.
