MORTON WOMAN SERIOUSLY HURT IN UTV CRASH
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office was called to a report of a UTV that had overturned with the driver pinned inside. The call came in at 5:02 pm Tuesday along the 32000 block of 720th Avenue about seven miles northwest of Morton. When emergency responders arrived, they found 75-year-old Edna M. Wertish of rural Morton was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was conscious and receiving care from bystanders. She was taken by ambulance to CentraCare-Redwood Hospital and then transferred to a trauma center with serious injuries. The Morton Fire Department and Medical Response unit assisted at the scene.
