Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Single Vehicle Accident

A Duluth area man was seriously injured in a single vehicle motorcycle accident Tuesday in Polk County. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Dean Bruce Obrien (58) was injured when the westbound 2004 Harley Davidson he was driving left US Highway 2 and crashed near milepost 64 in King Township.

Obrien was taken to Essentia Fosston and treated for injuries troopers at the scene describe as life threatening. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident reported just before 11:30am. 

According to the State patrol report, alcohol was a factor in the accident.
