Mpls Man Dead After Hit by Vehicle in Shakopee

(Shakopee, MN) A Minneapolis man is dead after he was hit by an SUV in Shakopee early this morning (Friday).

The State Patrol says 48-year-old Abdulahi Siad died at the scene.

The Patrol says Siad was in a vehicle that was on the shoulder of Highway 169 near County Road 21 when he exited the vehicle and was hit by the passing SUV.

The driver of the SUV, an 18-year-old from Shakopee, was not injured.

Three passengers in the Siad vehicle were not injured.

The incident happened just before 2am.
