The Minnesota State Mankato Mens and Womens Basketball teams BOTH won National Championships over the weekend. The MSU women beat Texas Womens University 89-73, while the MSU men beat Nova Southeastern 88-85. In the Womens game, Natalie Bremer led the Mavericks with 27 points. In the Mens game Kyreese Willingham hit a three-pointer with 0.8 seconds on the clock to give the Mavericks the win. The Mavericks are the first program since 1984 to win both the men’s and women’s championships in the same season in Division Two play.
